UNKAI TERRACE
It is an observation facility where you can see the dynamic sea of clouds flowing in when the weather conditions are perfect. Unkai Terrace is located at an altitude of 1,088 meters. And you can go right there within 13 min. ride by the Unkai Gondola.The average of the Unkai is about 40% during the season from the mid of May to the mid of Oct.

Tomorrow morning, Hokkaido will be under a trough of low pressure, including a low-pressure system in the Sea of Japan. Warm, humid air will flow in from the south, making the atmosphere somewhat unstable. Tomamu will be cloudy, with rain until dawn. The area around the terrace will also be cloudy. There will be periods of rain, and there is a possibility of thunderstorms. There is a chance of seeing a sea of clouds, typical of bad weather, through breaks in the clouds. The temperature at dawn will be around 8 degrees Celsius. It would be a good idea to wear a thick down jacket and layer up with warm innerwear.
Farm Area
The farm area is a vast site of about 100 hectares with domestic animals such as cows and sheep. You can stay at various observation spots while admiring the idyllic scenery typical of Hokkaido. We also offer dairy products like fresh milk and cheese produced at the agricultural project "Farm Hoshino."
