To ensure a seamless experience for all guests at UNKAI Terrace, we are introducing a priority reservation system for the UNKAI Gondola boarding time starting from the 2026 season. Reservations open at 5:00 PM on the day before your visit.

Tomorrow morning, Hokkaido is expected to be covered by a high-pressure system stretching east to west. In the Tomamu area, low clouds will spread around dawn, but it will gradually clear up. The area around the terrace is expected to be generally sunny. There is a possibility of seeing the sea of clouds that originates from Tomamu below in the early morning, but the sea of clouds will dissipate as time passes, so it would be best to come to the terrace early. The temperature in the early morning will be around 9 degrees Celsius, so please don't forget to bring a warm jacket or similar.

Cloud Cafe

A spectacular cafe located at an altitude of 1,088 m, just up the UNKAI gondola.
A yoga program to calm your mind and body while gazing at the breathtaking view of the sea of clouds and reflecting on yourself. You can easily participate without a yoga mat. Surrounded by the crisp air at an altitude of 1,088m and the morning light, we offer a moment for a pleasant awakening.

Climbing Mount Tomam

From the gondola station, which provides access to Unkai Terrace, to the summit of Mount Tomamu, a 50 minute (round trip) trail with an elevation difference of 150 m and a distance of 600 m.
Cloud Post Office

At the "Cloud Post Office," they sell postcards featuring various types of sea of clouds photographs. Additionally, they have set up a blue "Sea of Clouds Mailbox," where you can send postcards anywhere in the world without needing stamps.
