with a new theme each season
Tomamu’s Night Sky to Life
Hoshino Resorts Tomamu and AlterSky, a company offering logistics drones and drone show planning and operations, are teaming up to bring Japan’s first regularly scheduled drone show, adding even more excitement to your resort stay. Sharing the vision of enhancing nighttime experiences at a resort where guests can enjoy a variety of activities, this project was born. This winter, 500 drones will light up the night sky with a Christmas-themed performance for the very first show.
The show features motifs unique to Tomamu, including the iconic Tomamu The Tower, cows from the resort’s farm area, and the shape of Hokkaido. In addition, Santa Claus and other Christmas-themed designs are vividly brought to life with drone lights. This dazzling display of light art against the clear winter night sky promises an unforgettable experience.
Starting this winter, the drone show will continue in sync with seasonal events throughout the year. The second show is planned to feature the magical Ice Village, which appears only on winter nights in Tomamu. We will continue to create new experiences so that guests can enjoy Tomamu’s unique charm in different seasons all year round.
