Riki’s first skiing experience was at an early age when he attended a YMCA ski camp. After watching the local kids skiing out of boundary slopes, he became deeply attached to the joys of skiing. Riki is the world’s first certified freestyle ski coach who obtained his certificate from Whistler in 2000. At the same time, he has participated in numerous freestyle ski competitions. Riki has been featured in various magazines and DVDs as a rider for Patagonia, Rossignol, and Oakley. He is specialized in the areas around the ‘Hokushin’ (northern Nagano) region to the southern ‘Tohoku’ region.
