A New Approach
to Snow Mountain Experiences
and Progression Lessons
for Children
"YUKIDS" introduces a method grounded in sports science to help Children master the "four movements of progression." Generally, ski lessons depend heavily on the instructor's personal skills, causing variations in progression and often failing to convey the true joy of skiing. At Hoshino Resorts, we have developed a proven know-how to ensure steady progress, creating a ski lesson that brings satisfaction to both parents and Children.
Science-Based Lessons
This method was co-developed with Professor Makoto Takegoshi of Nippon Sport Science University. By analyzing children's movements, we identified the "four movements" essential for ski progression. Children learn these movements naturally on flat ground through play, then smoothly transition to slopes. It is a revolutionary lesson where they improve naturally while having fun.
Improve While Playing
Children master the "four movements of progression" through fun activities, such as playing rock-paper-scissors in ski boots. With coaching based on sports science, we draw out their motivation, allowing them to enhance their skiing skills naturally while enjoying the process.
Exclusive YUKIDS Area
Within the Debut Park, which features a Snow Escalator, Children practice getting accustomed to skiing in a dedicated flat space. Afterward, they use the Snow Escalator to secure ample practice in both skiing duration and distance.
